Hi everybody. As we narrow in on 1.5, I think it's time to re-awaken this
discussion. I'm kicking it off with this cleaned up patch, which should be
considered as superseding all other patches. For reference, I attached to
ACCUMULO-958 a document outlining my approaches and why I took them.
