I like the idea of making a system namespace and putting !METADATA and !!ROOT
(assuming that also comes to fruition) into it.
Assuming we do so, is there any more reason to put one to many !'s in front of
METADATA (and ROOT)? I know [~mdrob] had some frustrations with jline2, history
and ! being interpreted as a meta-character.
