Sean Busbey updated ACCUMULO-1797:
----------------------------------
Attachment: ACCUMULO-1797.1-site.patch.txt
Here's a patch against the site markdown that adds the discussed testing info
to the existing release process as optional but desired.
It also gives some clarification and pointers on actually running the tests.
This doesn't include two things I'd like to see added to the release section
* Adding a required minimum cluster size that each cluster test has been run
against at least once (e.g. 5 worker nodes)
* Adding a requirement that each of the tests has been run against a cluster
with the same versions given in whatever a release's default profile is
There's no precedent for either of those requirements AFAICT, so I figure
they'd require a vote. If anyone agrees we can call one, and then the change
can go in a follow on ticket.
> update release practices to cover multiple Hadoops

> if we're going to label Hadoop platforms as supported, we should ensure the
> release process specifies that tests are run against each of them.
