Eric Newton commented on ACCUMULO-2294:
---------------------------------------
This was intentional, but I have no problem with changing it.
Way back in the day (~ early 2009), when I was first staring at accumulo log
files for hours every day, I was annoyed by the duplication of information that
was obvious. So, I stripped off the year and month. I also shortened the
class names down to just the last part of the package and the classname.
These days... accumulo is more stable, and log files are much more interesting
for longer periods of time. I've seen tablet servers run for half a year.
It's probably time to add year/month back to the logging format.
> Monitor's log messages only show day of month.

> It would be nice if the logs' timestamps included the day _and_ the month
> (and possibly the year) that the event occurred. This will make reading,
> copying, etc. more standard.
