Josh Elser commented on ACCUMULO-3701:
--------------------------------------
A workaround for this is to {{kinit}} before submitting the job (and is
probably the reason I didn't notice it in my local testing).
> MapReduce jobs need to perform kerberos login before instantiating Job

> [~billie.rinaldi] found another nice bug through testing out running a
> Continuous Verify MapReduce job with Kerberos/SASL enabled. She provided a
> keytab and SASL was enabled in the client conf, but when the job was
> submitted, it failed because there were no kerberos credentials.
> * Instantiate Job (caches currentUser which is nobody)
> * Login with keytab programmatically, get Accumulo delegation token
> * Job tries to get HDFS delegation token, and fails
> We need to ensure that a UGI login happens when a keytab is provided as an
> option *before* a Job is created.
