Yeah this was one I had waffled with. It seems wrong to place it anywhere
higher which might be interpreted incorrectly on an actual system (as it
overlays the binary install). I think my reasoning at the time was that the c++
is the main code for the artifact, but I understand why that's not entirely
correct.
