Yep, start-daemon.sh was meant to provide a single "entry" point to starting a 
process, regardless of whether it's locally or remotely.

Hopefully, it would even make automation via external tools easier (Mesos, 
Slider, etc). Perhaps your Ansible scripts could leverage it too? Would love to 
see what you have working :)
