In order to accomplish ACCUMULO-3906, we must deprecate the methods from the
public API at some point. We should do this, in conjunction with ACCUMULO-1801,
which provides an alternative as soon as possible, due to the unpredictable
nature of this feature (like ACCUMULO-3905).
