> @milleruntime looking at your comment I opened #2110. This PR is so large, I think we can use the external compaction project to open issue and not just rely on the comment in this PR. That opens the possibility of merging this PR and doing some of those issues as follow on PRs. That works since I don't anticipate seeing something that would prevent you guys from merging. I will just keep putting comments here against the code in the PR since that is easier for me.
