That is the age returned by the thrift object `ActiveCompaction`. > `ThriftClientHandler.getActiveCompactions` only returns information about the compactions running internally. However, the TabletServer also has information on the compactions that are running externally. Conveying just the count of internal and external metrics might require a new Thrift endpoint though as I don't think the information will fit into `getActiveCompactions`. This would be a good opportunity to include External compaction information as well.
