   I like that idea. I think it gets us the best of all use cases. We get retry 
conveniently, automatically, but we can interrupt it by cancelling the future. 
We can also get async, and we don't need to worry about throwing the 
ConcurrentModificationException. Maximum user choice, maximum dev flexibility. 
The only thing we don't provide is customization of the retry loop (delay 
period, backoff, max attempts), but I think that's fine. We get pretty much 
everything we've discussed here with an easily interruptible infinite 
asynchronous retry in a Future.
