When the tablet servers were responsible for compactions they emitted metrics for internal and external compactions that covered all of the tablets they were hosting. One could aggregate the metrics from the tablet servers and determine how many total compactions were running in each compaction group. Now that the tablet servers are no longer emitting these metrics, something else should probably emit them. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
