I went ahead and backported to 3.1 and kept the number as 17 for the error code. I talked to @keith-turner and I'm going to open an issue to refactor the error codes for validation and have the new error codes that only apply to main (elasticity) start at a higher number such as 100 so we have a cap for future errors that apply to 3.1 and 4.0 and don't run into this issue again. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
