Indeed, it would better be a regular attribute. I'm even surprised it is seen
as an extra attribute, since deprecated is supported since much longer than
extra attributes. I guess having it as an extra attribute is a side effect of
how we handle extra attributes, maybe the deprecated was never actually parsed
before.
