The first is an older format, mainly using some of the older versions of 2.x and 3.x. Now it's fully switched to the second format. The legacy APISIX dashboard only works with APISIX 3.0. There is no guarantee of correctness for use with 3.9.1. Known issues include, but are not limited to, proxy-rewrite not being able to configure request header rewriting; TLS certificates not being configured correctly, etc. We won't be fixing these issues, so even starting an issue about it won't help. Please check out https://github.com/apache/apisix-dashboard/issues/2981 for the new APISIX dashboard, which will be released with APISIX 3.13. --- For 3.9.1, the workable way to do this is to configure it via the Admin API, and if the commit is accepted, it will take effect.
