One other thing to try would be to provide different ports to both NCs in the
configuration file.
If you are using the local sample cluster, you'd need to create a new
configuration file {{red.conf}} (similar to {{blue.conf}}) and modify
{{start-sample-cluster.sh}} to start the "red" NC using that config file
(similar to the way this is done for the "blue" NC in the start script).
