It looks to me like couchdb does create a `/var/run/couchdb` directory, of
which I can't seem to find any trace in my packaging script (i.e. it seems like
something in the CouchDB 1.6.1 build system creates this).
I'm not asking that you unbundle anything, and I'm more than happy to
accept the risk/responsibility of deviating from the bundled versions. However,
I do think the CouchDB configure script should provide options that allow me
ignore the bundled versions.
