davisp commented on issue #606: Use Ejson Body Instead of Compressed Body for External size URL: https://github.com/apache/couchdb/pull/606#issuecomment-310724903 Not sure what your test was there, but that's a pretty big red flag that the external sizes don't match between different compression algorithms as it should not be affected by that.
