garbados opened a new issue #170: Compacter is enabled by default, not disabled.
URL: https://github.com/apache/couchdb-documentation/issues/170

   As of 2.1+ the compacter is enabled by default, but the documents still
indicate it is disabled by default.

   ## Expected Behavior
   <!--- If you're describing a bug, tell us what should happen -->
   <!--- If you're suggesting a change/improvement, tell us how it should work
-->
   Instead, it should indicate that the compacter is enabled by default.

   ## Current Behavior
   <!--- If describing a bug, tell us what happens instead of the expected
behavior -->
   <!--- If suggesting a change/improvement, explain the difference from
current behavior -->
   The text indicates the compacter is disabled by default.

   ## Possible Solution
   <!--- Not obligatory, but suggest a fix/reason for the bug, -->
   <!--- or ideas how to implement the addition or change -->
   I have a PR to resolve this issue that I will submit right after I finish
this.

   ## Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)
   <!--- Provide a link to a live example, or an unambiguous set of steps to -->
   <!--- reproduce this bug. Include code to reproduce, if relevant -->
   1. View
http://docs.couchdb.org/en/2.1.0/maintenance/compaction.html#automatic-compaction
   2. Read "disabled by default"
   3. Think about life, the universe, and everything. Make yourself a tea.
   4. Relax because the PR already handled it.

   ## Context
   <!--- How has this issue affected you? What are you trying to accomplish? -->
   <!--- Providing context helps us come up with a solution that is most useful
in the real world -->
   Just guiding some folks through using the compaction daemon for automatic
compacting.

   ## Your Environment
   <!--- Include as many relevant details about the environment you experienced
the bug in -->
   * Version used:
   * Browser Name and version:
   * Operating System and version (desktop or mobile):
   * Link to your project:
   This is an issue with the text, not a particular browser or environment, so
I've left this section more or less empty.
