wohali commented on issue #15: Set n=1 for single node setups and/or use _cluster_setup endpoint, which already does this URL: https://github.com/apache/couchdb-pkg/issues/15#issuecomment-349000038 for RPM we can't know if it's standalone or clustered at all at install time, there's no mechanism to prompt the user to ask them. So we punt on any sort of configuration :(
