(Try it, I just did.) I tried an interactive install, gave a node name of [email protected]. The resulting node name was `[email protected]`. Fyi 2.1.0~xenial works. `sudo DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive apt-get install -y couchdb=2.1.0~xenial`
