janl opened a new issue #321: Compaction: move auto compaction up URL: https://github.com/apache/couchdb-documentation/issues/321 currently http://docs.couchdb.org/en/latest/maintenance/compaction.html shows automatic compaction as the last option on the page. Since 2.1.1 it is enabled by default and since 2.2.0 it is even running smoothly, so we should start out the compaction page with an introduction about that compaction is a thing, but normal users don’t have to do anything. The rest of the content can be left as-is, but framed as “advanced usage”
