Forgive my naivety. The CouchDB documentation suggests 10-20x the default value is normal for production, so I simply went with that, as our nodes are individually quite high spec. What you say makes sense, and I have set the limits lower and will monitor and test accordingly. Does the [ioq] concurrency setting have any bearing on this situation?
