raoyitao edited a comment on issue #2054: [CouchDB 2.3.1] Cluster setup timed out waiting for nodes to connect URL: https://github.com/apache/couchdb/issues/2054#issuecomment-502363197 And I also tried http://COORD-IP:PORT/_utils/#/setup to setup a cluster, after adding nodes, I clicked "Configure Cluster" button and received the same error message. So I switched to CouchDB 2.3.0 and with _cluster_setup API I successfully created a cluster, then I stop the CouchDB services and switch to 2.3.1 , seems it could work.
