@big-r81 This isn't a jiffy issue really. Jiffy is just saying that it got
passed something that's not encodable as JSON, namely `{bad_block, 88}` and
then nothing catches the error before blowing up the socket.
Likely we just need to format that error into something that can be reported
better. I'm not super familiar with the JWT code, maybe @rnewson or @nickva
would have a better idea on where to start looking for that.
