Well, in any case thank you guys for the advice, I'll change my setup! So If it can't be fixed and problem exists, it's worth adding warning about it in the [couchdb Installation via Docker docs](https://docs.couchdb.org/en/latest/install/docker.html). It's funny, just a couple hours ago I came across a similar warning today in the [Docker installation guide for another project](https://docs.craftycontrol.com/pages/getting-started/installation/docker/), clearly related to the same issue with corruption of files in docker desktop / wsl setup. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
