James Joseph Masanz commented on CTAKES-408:
--------------------------------------------
how are you running the AE - are you using runctakesCVD? If so, you edit that
file (runctakesCVD.bat or runctakesCVD.sh) using a text editor
Note that in the java command's arguments, you don't literally use the angle
brackets, it would be something like
java -Dctakes.umlsuser=patrickchanou -Dctakes.umlspw=YourPassword -cp ...
where you replace YourPassword with your umls password
The angle brackets were just meant to indicate where you would put your
information

> How and where do I edit the files to do the task below in order to load the
> AE. My AE doesn't work when I try to load
> AggregatePlaintextFastUMLSProcessor.xml
> 2. Edit the following files. Find the line in each script that runs java and
> add the ctakes.umlsuser and ctakes.umlspw parameters to the java command with
> your credentials. Make sure you substitute your actual ID and password if you
> cut and paste the example.
> java -Dctakes.umlsuser=<patrickchanou> -Dctakes.umlspw=<Wizdom31> -cp ...
