This has been previously discussed in #273 - please do take a look at the reasoning mentioned in that thread, as to why this "fall back" was not implemented. The recommended mitigation for using older builds with Muchos is to manually download those tarball(s), place then in the [fluo-muchos/conf/upload] folder.
