The purpose of this JIRA is to incrementally write a gradle build script that
replaces the functionality currently existing using Ant. We must tackle one
target at a time and sometimes at a more granular level given the complexity of
the existing build scripts.
I will provide the first patch with a list of questions and we can take it from
there.
