some reasons I voted in favor of this: - stress-new does not live up to its mission. it stresses existing unchanged tests in addition to new tests (and it doesn't uncover newly-flaky tests that result from code changes in the product) - we now have codeowners and weekly mass test runs, both of which provide a better gate/signal - we have many other PR checks that are not required, and we seem to be doing fine with taking them under advice -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
