Since this branch already targets Jakarta EE (jakarta.servlet-api), the container stores the forwarded exception under jakarta.servlet.error.exception (jakarta.servlet.RequestDispatcher.ERROR_EXCEPTION), so the lookup never matched and the elseif branch that renders exception details never fired.
