The deployment guide now covers the three mechanisms this asked for. Traditional WAR deployment is in `deploymentContainer.adoc` (`bootWar`). Standalone executable JAR/WAR deployment is in `deploymentStandalone.adoc` (`bootJar`). Container deployment, including layered images, is in `deploymentLayeredBuilds.adoc`. The overview is in `deployment.adoc`. This is `452038198bd` (#15338), on `8.0.x`, `8.1.x`, and `9.0.x`.
