A `save(Company company)` action already parses the request body into `company`. After that, `request.JSON` is empty. The action can take the domain argument or read `request.JSON`, not both. That is in [command objects](https://github.com/apache/grails-core/blob/v8.0.0-RC2/grails-doc/src/en/guide/theWebLayer/controllers/commandObjects.adoc). Extra MongoDB fields are not bound as declared properties. Set them with the subscript operator, as described in [dynamic attributes](https://github.com/apache/grails-core/blob/v8.0.0-RC2/grails-data-mongodb/docs/src/docs/asciidoc/objectMapping/dynamicAttributes.adoc).
