**BLOCKER before merge: this branch carries a temporary CI commit.** This PR is stacked, and to avoid starting a full CI matrix on every push or rebase of the stack it carries one temporary commit, `CHANGEME FOR ACCEPTANCE: disable PR workflow triggers`.
