@jdaugherty @jamesfredley head b715c0390b: `Hibernate7RefreshLockSpec` failed on the previous head because `executeWithNewSession` went through `getCurrentSession()`, which synchronized the new holder with the surrounding transaction so a named connection's `withTransaction` opened a second session. The callback now runs on the session `withNewSession` opened. The Hibernate7, Hibernate5, MongoDB and Neo4j functional jobs pass on this head. The jobs still failing are the Forge and Build Grails-Core jobs that also fail on 8.0.x, and the grails-openapi `PersistentEntitySchemaSpec` failure in Build Grails, which does not touch this code and also fails on #16583.
