Paul King resolved GROOVY-8128.
-------------------------------
       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: 2.4.11

Thanks Mike. I'll mark as resolved but if anyone has any issues, let me know.
Also, if anyone can replicate the problem with an embedded db, also let me know
and I'll add a test into the test suite. Our CI isn't currently set up to have
a Postgresql db or docker image thereof at the moment.
