Paul King commented on GROOVY-8592:
-----------------------------------
I ended up having to revert (just on 2_5_X) some of the changes I was hoping to
achieve to totally remove the jarjar'd commons-cli classes but alas it is
needed for the deprecated legacy methods in FileSystemCompiler. Those methods
actually used the jarjar cli classes - so it kind of paints us into a corner.
Anyway, it is totally removed from 2_6+ and shouldn't affect any changes you
wanted to do.

> Project: Groovy
> Issue Type: Improvement

> Priority: Major
> Fix For: 2.5.0

> The following command line tools use either {{groovy.cli.commons.CliBuilder}}
> or implicitly use {{groovy.util.CliBuilder}} which delegates to the
> commons-cli version of CliBuilder:
> * groovyConsole (groovy.ui.Console)
> * groovydoc (org.codehaus.groovy.tools.groovydoc.Main)
> * groovysh (org.codehaus.groovy.tools.shell.Main)
> This ticket proposes to use {{groovy.cli.picocli.CliBuilder}} instead, so
> that all command line tools in the {{bin}} directory of the Groovy
> distribution show usage help in ANSI colors.
