I did a little microbenchmark to see if the following was faster and it mostly
was but not universally:

if (self1.size() >= removeMe1.size()) {
Set<T> removeMe2 = new TreeSet<>(comparator);
for(Object o: removeMe1) {
removeMe2.add((T) o);
}
for (T o : self1) {
if (!removeMe2.contains(o))

}
} else {
Set<T> answer = new TreeSet<>(comparator);
answer.addAll(self1);
answer.removeAll(removeMe1);
for (T o : self1) {
if (answer.contains(o))
ansCollection.add(o);
}
}
} else {
//n*n version
{code}
The test suite passes with your suggestion and the one above. I haven't thought
of any cases we don't have in the test suite but I'll think a little more about
it.
