In this example, the compile-time types are not relevant. If you added
{{@CompileStatic}} to your method or its enclosing class, then static method
selection is performed and you will get a result closer to what Java does.
At runtime, the one argument to apply is of type {{MyConfigurer}} and this is
compared to the declared parameter types of the candidate methods.
