Hello group,
Well too late to put my perception of the whole pubs.net but anyway here are my
comments : We started the pubs.net to basically see how vs.net offers new terms
and concept (like DATASET, Adding References, Interfaces etc). We just finished the
basic adding, editing and viewing consisting of authors data. We can move ahead in
this direction and finish all the basic fundamentals or components of VS.NET ie.
Webservices, COM Interface, Mobile appln etc. say by another 2 to 3 sessions and then
be ready for the full-fledged SDLC based project proposed by Gaurav. By doing this
everyone will be clear about the basics and then we can aim for the Gaurav's proposal.
As told by Deepak we could see WebServices in action on 27th i.e A Webservice being
created using VS.NET and acessing via J2EE and Ruby tech. Ofcourse for those who
still wish to do the very basics could do the hands-on-lab exercise which could be
downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/india/msdn/yatra/hol.aspx
Please consider this request and propose suitable steps to move ahead progressively.
Sorry for the delayed feedback.
Regards,
Shri
