As the functionality evolved, we gradually realized how difficult it was to
implement a correct consensus algorithm. As a result, our attitude towards
using a raft library has gradually changed from being conservative to open,
with the certainty that if the adaptation is successful it will unlock our
productivity.
Of course, since the change would be significant, we had to do careful research
and make a final decision. At present, the community has carried out some
preliminary discussions in the
[issue|https://github.com/apache/iotdb/issues/3954] and is in the research
stage.
