Andrew Gaul commented on JCLOUDS-457:
-------------------------------------
[~kstyrc] Unfortunately we do not have a step-by-step guide for implementing a
new provider. [~everett-toews] wrote a blurb on Stack Overflow which is still
mostly correct:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19571901/information-about-jclouds/19592104#19592104
We also have some documentation here:
http://wiki.apache.org/jclouds/
The Amazon S3 (in core) and OpenStack Swift (in labs-openstack) are good
examples, although a simpler provider like Atmos or Azure might be easier to
study since they do not support clone providers. I am usually on IRC #jclouds
10 AM-6 PM PST. Please mail jclouds-dev with any general jclouds development
questions.

> jclouds should support Amazon Glacier which provides a different
> price/availability trade off than traditional blobstores. Note that this
> will require some thought for how to handle blob reads.
