Indeed! you don't have to be as brave as it seems, though :P
FYI There is a long-lasting PR https://github.com/jclouds/jclouds-labs/pull/197 
which is going to make Azure almost ready to be promoted to jclouds/jclouds. 
I'd really suggest you to use that version of the code, although still unmerged.

We'd really appreciate to have your feedback on jclouds-azurecompute, 
particularly on the PR above, to confirm it is the right direction.
