Travis CI can run builds on linux and macos, and Appveyor on windows, for pull
requests submitted to the project. There is no cost for these, and they will
immediately improve the quality of pull requests. There are plenty of examples
of build scripts that can be used for each; for example the Apache Thrift
project works with them; as does Boost.Format and Boost.Uuid.
