Although this is a bit painful I think it was the right approach to possibly be
too restrictive in 2.17.0. I think we should create a matrix similar to:
||Expression||Expanded in Configuration||Expanded in event processing||
|${key} where key = ${env:someProperty}|yes|no|
With a bunch of expressions and determine which make sense to support in event
processing and which don't and then see how that can be achieved.
