@vy Could you elaborate on why you prefer this? For the system property, can we come up with a case where people will actually need/want >10 (or some other limit) levels of recursion? If we don't think anyone will use it, why is it a good idea to add another configuration knob? For the `StatusLogger`, removing the log will mean a user hitting this limit won't know about it, which makes it harder for them to fix.
