@ppkarwasz, IMHO, the justification for this enhancement is insufficient. In the very long existence of SMTP Appender, has anybody ever requested a need even remotely resembling this feature? Or would this feature enable a functionality/need that was not possible before? What is the problem we will be solving besides "enhance feature parity"?
