--------------------------------------
Hi Disha, Nastase,
Thanks for your interest! I encourage you to look at the project documentation
on https://mynewt.apache.org/.
Things are changing rapidly esp. with the Newt Tool which is the focus of this
particular project. While some of the Newt Tool command specifics are going to
change over the next couple of weeks, you will get a good idea of the basic
capabilities from the existing documentation. You will also get an idea of what
Mynewt OS based projects are (a combination of packages to build an operating
system and enable various OS features appropriate for the target hardware) and
how they interact with the Newt Tool (build and package management tool). If
you like what you see, sign up for the @dev mailing list. Let us know either
on that mailing list or in this ticket what kind of proposal you are thinking
of and we will be happy to guide you and come up with something that's
feasible.
Both of you have mentioned C programming skills - that's great! Do you have
experience integrating something with Eclipse IDE?
thanks,
aditi

> Difficulty: Easy-medium
> Skills: C programming, knowledge of Eclipse Plug-in Development Environment
> Description: Enhance the newt tool in Apache Mynewt with commands to generate
> configuration files that are used by the Eclipse IDE, thus making it possible
> to import one or more Mynewt projects into Eclipse IDE. Providing Mynewt
> integration with Eclipse enables developers to leverage productivity tools of
> an Integrated Development Environment to write, run and debug Mynewt projects.
