When newt encounters errors, its messages are not always the most helpful.
e.g. if you have two packages with the same name, it silently ignores all of
them.
e.g. interface panic happens when you can't fetch a repository.yml file.
somebody should spend a couple of hours breaking repositories, and making sure
that newt provides helpful error messages.
