Hi david,
I agree with your usage pattern and understand that the syscfg works
differently than the other variables because of the multiple configuration
settings. Originally, I had a PR with changes that would allow user to set
syscfg variable with settings and not erase the other setting value. We (
Chris, Aditi, and I) discuss this and decided that it might be useful to
extend this functionality for other variables (cflags etc) with an "append"
enhancement feature (MYNEWT-640) for post release 1.0 since we are so close to
the release. Perhaps we can re-open the PR to get this fix in for now?
